Sticker expiring this month? Our Arlington shop on Columbia Pike is an official Virginia safety inspection station and a DEQ Air Check Virginia emissions station. Most cars are in and out in under an hour. Come early in the month and skip the last-week rush.

Safety inspection fees are set by Virginia law, not by us. Emissions testing is priced separately and is required in Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William and Stafford counties before the DMV will renew your registration.
Where emissions testing is required
Virginia requires an emissions inspection before the DMV will issue or renew registration for most vehicles registered in:
- Arlington County
- Fairfax County
- Loudoun County
- Prince William County
- Stafford County
- City of Alexandria
- City of Fairfax
- City of Falls Church
- City of Manassas
- City of Manassas Park
What to bring
- Your current vehicle registration
- Your keys — including any valet or spare fob
- About 30–45 minutes, longer during the last week of the month
- A working check engine light — if the light is on, an emissions test will fail
If it fails
You get a written report of exactly what failed and an estimate to correct it. We do the repair here, then re-inspect. Nobody gets sent away with a fail slip and no plan.
Our Annandale location at 4321 Ravensworth Road does full repair and sells fuel, but it is not currently an inspection or emissions station. Bring inspections to Arlington — it is about five miles up Columbia Pike.

Straight answers
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome at both shops and we do our best to get you in the same day. But an appointment gets you a bay faster, especially Saturday mornings and the last week of the month when inspection stickers expire.
Will you tell me the price before you start?
Always. You get a written estimate before we touch the car, and we call you for approval if we find anything that changes the number. No surprises on the invoice.
Which location does Virginia inspections and emissions?
Arlington, at 4601 Columbia Pike. Our Annandale location does full repair and fuel but is not currently an inspection or emissions station — so bring inspections to Arlington.

Sí. Both shops have Spanish-speaking staff, and this entire website is available in Spanish. We will explain the repair, the estimate, and your options in the language you are most comfortable with.
Do you work on my make?
Foreign and domestic — sedans, trucks, SUVs, minivans and hybrids. If your vehicle needs a dealer-only procedure we will tell you straight rather than guess at it.
Do you offer a military discount?
Yes. Our Hero Appreciation discount takes 10% off the total invoice for active and retired military, police and fire. Just mention it at the counter.
